His death is why Poppy is involved in Soldiers’ Sanctuary, a non-profit that helps disabled soldiers adjust to their new circumstances. Her mission in life is to see that no veteran of war will ever feel so alone, so hopeless he’ll choose her dead fiancé’s path. Which is why, despite the current threats against her father, she is on this cruise, assessing the ship’s ability to accommodate the soldiers rather than sending a surrogate.
However, the first threat doesn’t come from terrorists with an axe to grind. Mexican banditos stop her tour bus heading toward Mayan ruins to shake down the passengers for their money and belongings. When one snaps a picture of her, he soon figures out there’s a much bigger payday. She knows she’s going to be kidnapped, but she doesn’t know someone is on that same tour bus who has her back.
Wiley’s unconventional takedown of her would-be kidnappers exposes the fact her father didn’t honor her wishes to fly under the radar. And now that the cat’s out of the bag, Wiley’s making it clear he’s moving into her suite for the rest of their time at sea to keep her out of harm’s way.

Wiley is sent on a cruise to watch over Poppy who wants absolutely nothing to do with any protection. That all changes when the bus she is on gets stopped by guys who are robbing the riders and realize who she is. He moves in with her and soon they are inseparable. While out swimming in the ocean, she is kidnapped. Will Wiley be able to find her in time?
Aww, what can I say? We have a take-charge, creative Navy SEAL and a strong woman on a mission. She won't be denied...so he doesn't!
Yes, there are terrorists. Yes, she's in all kinds of trouble. In the midst of all that is the sweetest love story I've enjoyed for a while! Thank you, Ms. Devlin, for another excellent book!
Before We Kiss was good short with substance that made this story feel like an episode of a T.V series but it a book series Uncharted Seals and each one are good tale to read,fast pace,quick and easy between lunch break....I can't tell enough that author Delilah Devlin can bring any length of her work and you will be suck in her storyline..It does it to me every time until i reach the word end and wait for the next one to come..The substance here,well hot spot scene,an assignment/order to protect,fight a threat,keep her save,the connection right there,the plot..To know more i suggest to pick up the book and see how it ends..Also well written,well characters played Navy SEAL, William “Wiley” Coyote & Poppy added with more personage so see short but has a story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Its time for more Navy Seals!!!!!!!!!Bring them out author Delilah Devlin......
Before We Kiss is the sixth book in the Uncharted SEALs series but it can be read as a standalone and you won’t feel lost if you haven’t read the other books.
William “Wiley” Coyote is tasked with covertly protecting a general’s daughter; of course, nothing goes quite as planned. Poppy Shackleford is her own woman and she doesn’t take kindly to her father’s interference with the things she wants to do. She’s not happy when she realizes that Wiley has been assigned to protect her. After he moves into her suite on the cruise ship, though, things begin to heat up between them.
Keeping Poppy out of harm’s way proves to be a very difficult thing. After she is kidnapped Wiley knows that he will do anything needs to do to get her back and keep her safe.
This is a fairly short book, 78 pages according to , but it certainly isn’t short on action, adventure and sexy time. With such short books it’s not possible to do a lot of character development and yet Delilah Devlin seems to give me everything I need when reading one of her stories.
While some people don’t care for “insta-love” in books I don’t mind it at all in this type of story. After a somewhat contentious start, Wiley and Poppy connect deeply with each other and I enjoyed reading how they got to their HEA.
I’m looking forward to reading more books in this series.

Before We Kiss was a really good military romantic suspense book. There was many twists and turns to keep me entertained and hooked until the very end. I didn't feel like skipping pages or taking a break,instead when the book was over I was sad. I wanted to keep reading because the MC were so enjoyable. Their passion and heat was intense and the angst is believable and was something you would connect with. These Seals that Ms. Devlin writes about, wow, where can I find one.
William “Wiley” Coyote is tasked with covertly protecting a general’s daughter; she, Poppy Shackleford , has other plans and ideas and does not want to be protected. She believes no one would hurt her and goes about her life and lives live in spite of her father's interference. She’s not happy when she realizes that Wiley has been assigned to protect her. Sparks fly and the chemistry is there white hot between them. When he follows her on the cruise that she is on, and especially when he moves into her suite on the cruise ship, though, that's when things begin to heat up between them. Someone though, is out to take Poppy and hurt her and its up to Wiley to protect her...but its the who and why that keep this story moving at a fast clip.
As I said, there are many twists and turns and I will say, the love that sprang up between the MC, it felt so real. I really liked it and hope that we see more of this couple in the future. I cannot wait to see who is next in this series.

Heroine is the daughter of a Military Commander who the enemy is specifically targeting. So the Heroine thinks it a fine idea to go to a third-world country where there is little protection, which she does to determine if disabled servicemen would like to take the tour and visit this country, since their first visit to a risky country worked out so well. Naturally this endangers herself, the people on the trip with her, and the contingent of brave men assigned to protect her. But she is rescued by a Seal. Ladies, it is not okay to take risky actions just to find a hero to rescue you. Hero was interesting and did he job of rescuing heroine. Wouldn't buy again.
This is a second write. The first one provided an analysis of my reading of the book, and a higher rating. This one is because did not believe the first complied with guidelines. They have the right to censor.
